Originally founded in 1981, Gibson’s Home Furnishings initially operated out of the back of the founder’s pickup truck. Since then, the business has changed owners several times, as well as found a permanent home. Jamie Roberts took over in 2009 and has successfully diversified Gibson's products in addition to increasing our custom furniture offerings.

Today, Gibson's remains a purveyor of both quality handcrafted solid wood furniture and home décor pieces for the discerning customer with great taste and a penchant for good quality. Having been in our current Waterloo location for over 2 years, Gibson’s has expanded to offer a wide array of Canadian-made upholstered furniture in addition to the same great solid wood furniture and home décor you know and love.

Our furniture is handcrafted from solid wood. We offer custom-designed pieces in a variety of woods, including maple, cherry, oak, pine, and wormy maple. Our furniture is built by hand in-house using high quality materials and traditional joinery.
